Step on the switch to open the two gates, then use the moving platform to cross to the island in the middle of the room.

Follow your instincts and shoot the snake while trying not to get crushed by it.

Shooting the snake won’t actually hurt it, it will only make it bigger. But that’s actually a good thing because the only way to kill the snake is to make it so big that it crashes into itself.

The snake will usually ignore you and concentrate on avoiding its own tail, so the safest place to be is actually right next to the snake’s body. If you walk up close to it when it’s long enough, you can shoot in safety from zero range.

When the snake is defeated, a new path will appear.
