The bubbling liquid is deadly, but shooting one of the two switches on the wall will calm it down for a few seconds.

To get to the far door, you have to keep shooting the switches while slipping through the gap in the parading monsters. (Shooting the monsters doesn’t have any effect.)

Time is short, so it’s useful to note that you can still shoot the second switch while you’re among the monsters, as shown in the picture.
